Agriculture
Michigan needs to harden its Agricultural Infrastructure to prepare for conflict or disruption.
At the same time we need to focus on growing the food we eat, and not just the food we sell.
Agriculture Policy
-
Ensure all US military bases are fed with US sourced food grown by American family farmers.
-
Ensure all farm equipment is EMP resistant.
-
Ensure all farm equipment can run without Diesel Emission Fluid.
-
Ensure farmers have right to maintain and repair the equipment they rightfully own during a war or conflict.
-
Ensure all farm equipment can operate without the presence of the Cloud or data services.
-
Ensure the US returns to growing the food we eat, and not just the food we sell. Food Security is national security.
-
Eliminate capital gains tax on transfer of farmland to another American farmer.
-
Restore the common law Open & Obvious Doctrine.
-
Immediately request a SNAP waiver from USDA so that we can eliminate Soft Drinks from the SNAP program. That money will then be directed more to ingredients, which then benefits the farmer.
-
Ensure farmers have insurance and liability protection when they are pressured to spread biosolids from urban cities on their farms.
